Academic background
About me
I’m Musa Olanrewaju Oduola, an economist working at the intersection of macroeconomics, finance, technology and development.
My research focuses on Sub-Saharan Africa. I study how access to finance, technological change and institutional quality shape firms’ performance, industrialisation and inclusive growth. I also work on financial inclusion, inequality, energy poverty and environmental sustainability.
I use firm- and macro-level evidence to address questions with practical relevance for economic policy. My work appears in Economic Change and Restructuring, Environment, Development and Sustainability, Journal of Economics and Development, Energy Efficiency and other journals.
Methods & research practice
My work spans applied microeconomics and macroeconomics, using panel data, time-series and firm-level methods. I work with Stata, R, Python, SPSS and EViews for quantitative analysis and communicating research findings.
